What Comes to Your Mind When You Think Michigan Getaways

So what comes to your mind when you think Michigan Getaways? Romantic? Golf? Lakes? Quick Escapes? Well, you are not alone. Growing up in a cold place, I guess I never came to appreciate the allure of Michigan. I had always dreamed of sandy beaches and clear blue water as romantic getaways. But, who knew that Michigan had some of the best hidden vacation getaways.

One day I was surfing on the internet for a getaway. It had been a long time since we had gone anywhere or done anything. I thought we could take a long weekend and revitalize on a beach or somewhere warm. But, I could not find any deals. I could not believe it. I had time off, money in my pocket and no deals. I was about to give up when a deal for Michigan romantic getaways. I was intrigued. I had never been to Michigan, it could be fun.

The more I read about Michigan the more excited I got. They had top notch golf, they had beautiful lakes, plus the great lakes. The travel was not very far or expensive. So, I decided to get the packages. As the time drew near I got more and more excited. I got the details, and found out we were staying at a hotel near the harbor and that to check in we just needed to contact manager.

The weekend finally when we left for our getaway. We started off with a fun and relaxing round of golf. I have never really liked golf, but I actually had fun. It surprised me. They had a golf pro, who really knew how to explain and teach some basic to me. I even hit par on a few holes. When I return home I may have to visit the local golf course to practice for the next time I head over to Michigan for a getaway.

Then I found out the most amazing thing....Michigan has beaches. I don't know why I hadn't thought about that. I mean, there are amazing, scenic lakes. Well, these beaches were amazing. The drive was so beautiful. I even saw some lighthouses. It looked like a postcard. The boats out on the lake were actually relaxing to sit and watch. We even decided to take a boat ride. I think this was the highlight of this trip. It was at dusk, the water was still, it was quite, and too top off the evening we saw the sunset. It was beautiful. So the drive back to the scenic town was also a postcard. We happened to be there when the leaves where changing. I had always heard that New England was the place to see the leaves change, but I would have to argue that....Michigan getaways was absolutely beautiful.

So, after a weekend getaway that left me totally revitalized, I already began looking for when we could go back. When I have a bad day now, I dream of my Michigan getaways to escape it all. Next time I think we will stay longer and do some more exploring. I would like to take my kids and maybe some friends. I saw some cabins for rent when we were driving around. They looked so cozy and homey. I am so glad that I found the Michigan getaways by mistake. It was the best mistake I have ever made.
